Infinite
Navigation (2016) is a
live film performance that thinking about “overlapped places”.
The place where this work was carried out was the commercial center of
engineers repairing machines more than 30-40 years old and used to be the
economic center of Seoul. The shimmering lights and white walls of the old
arcade reminded me of the light of the universe and the interior of the
spaceship, overlapping the space between Sewoon arcade
and the space, and thinking about
the overlapping places.
2013년부터 2016년까지 해왔던 작품은 장소라는 것과 바라보는 대상, 시점과의 관계 들에 대하여 고민해오며 영화와 현실의 풍경의 관계에 대하여 생각한 필름의 작품들이다. 풍경과 영화의 신의 유사점을 보며 눈과 카메라의 의 형태로, 만약 눈이 영화의 카메라가 된다면 어떻게 될까 고민하면서 만들었던 작품들이다.
Infinite
Navigation (2016) 은 장소에서 떠오르는 생각들을 통하여 장소 위에 중첩된 또다른 공간을 만들고자 시도하였다. 세운상가의
반짝이는 불빛 , 기계를 고치는 상인들, 상가 내부의 하얀 외벽은 우주의 빛나는 별, 기계소리는
우주선의 엔진, 우주선의 하얀 내부를 닮고 있기도 하다. 나는 지역의 형태를 통해 또 다른 장소를 불러 일으키는 것을
드러내고자 하였다.
